We are looking for a qualified Solicitor with substantial experience in this area of law and practice. This role offers an opportunity to develop and enhance your skills through varied and quality work.
You will work as part of a team of Contract Lawyers, providing proactive legal advice on issues including Public Contract Regulations, Company law, Subsidy Control, NEC and JCT construction Contracts, among others. You will handle a full, varied, and demanding caseload.
Senior Lawyers will be involved in team management, deputising for the Principal Solicitor, and contributing to the delivery of legal services.

The role is hybrid; remote work will be considered. Occasional office attendance may be required, with the candidate expected to collect their laptop from Reigate on the first day.
The role involves managing a team of lawyers, providing leadership, supervision, and legal advice to the County Council, its members, officers, and committees.
You will contribute to the wider management of Legal Services, embodying the council's values and behaviors.
You will manage a demanding caseload, delivering solutions with minimal supervision.
The role supports the reduction of reliance on external legal support and may include advocacy responsibilities.
The role includes advising the Monitoring Officer on legal issues and contributing to staff training within the Council.
