We are looking for a qualified Solicitor with substantial experience in this area of law and practice. This role offers an opportunity to develop and enhance your skills while undertaking quality and varied work.
You will work as part of a team of Contract Lawyers to provide proactive legal advice on issues including, but not limited to, Public Contract Regulations, Company law, Subsidy Control, NEC and JCT construction Contracts, and general contract queries. You will manage a full, varied, and demanding caseload.
Senior Lawyers will play an active role in team management, deputise for the Principal Solicitor, and contribute to delivering first-class legal services.

The role is hybrid, with remote work considered. Occasional office attendance may be required, and the candidate will need to collect their laptop from our Reigate office on the first day.
The role involves managing a team of lawyers, providing leadership, supervision, and expert legal advice to the County Council, its members, officers, and committees.
You will contribute to the wider management of Legal Services, model the council's values, and deliver innovative solutions with minimal supervision.
The role supports efforts to reduce reliance on external legal support and may involve advocacy work.
You will assist the Monitoring Officer in legal matters and contribute to staff training within the Council.
