We are looking for a qualified Solicitor with substantial experience in this area of law and practice. This role is ideal for those interested in developing and enhancing their skills through varied and quality work.
You will work as part of a team of Contract Lawyers, providing legal advice on issues including Public Contract Regulations, Company law, Subsidy Control, NEC and JCT construction Contracts, and general contract queries. You will manage a full, varied, and demanding caseload.
Senior Lawyers will play an active role in team management, deputising for the Principal Solicitor and contributing to the delivery of legal services.

The role is hybrid, with remote work considered. Occasional office attendance may be required, and the candidate will need to collect their laptop from our Reigate office on the first day.
This role involves managing a team of lawyers, providing leadership, supervision, and expert legal advice to the County Council, its members, officers, and committees.
You will contribute to the wider management of Legal Services, modeling and embedding the council's values and behaviors.
Managing a demanding caseload and delivering innovative solutions with minimal supervision are key aspects of this role.
You will support and help manage the team and its resources, aiming to reduce reliance on external legal support. Advocacy duties may also be required.
You will assist the Monitoring Officer by advising on illegality or procedural defaults for investigation.
The role includes contributing to staff training to keep them updated on legal issues.
