Vivid Resourcing Ltd is sourcing an interim Repairs & Maintenance Surveyor to support a council's residential property portfolio. The role involves on-site inspections, defect diagnosis, and managing repair programmes, with remote report writing and administration for a 6-month contract.

Start is immediate; 3-4 days on-site per week, with remaining time spent remotely. The successful candidate will monitor contractor performance, prepare specifications and cost estimates, and ensure safety

Qualifikationen

• Experience in repairs and refurbishment projects.
• Sound understanding of building construction and maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with Schedule of Rates (SOR) contracts.

Aufgaben

• Carry out inspections before, during and after works, including vacant properties.
• Identify defects and specify repair solutions.
• Raise repair requests and oversee them to completion.
• Monitor contractors for quality and value for money.
• Prepare work specifications, schedules and cost estimates as needed.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Conduct asbestos-related and general property safety inspections.
• Collaborate with residents, contractors and colleagues to address maintenance concerns.
• Support service improvements and operational performance objectives.
