Job summary

• Experience diagnosing defects and specifying repair works.
• Experience managing or monitoring contractors.

• Experience in local authority or social housing environments.
• Experience producing reports and performance information.

Responsibilities

• Deliver surveying service for responsive repairs and maintenance.
• Undertake pre- and post-inspections and technical surveys.
• Diagnose repairs, building defects, and maintenance issues with solutions.
• Prepare detailed repair specifications for complex works.
• Monitor contractors to ensure quality and timeliness.
• Carry out quality assurance checks and post-inspections.
• Provide technical advice to housing staff and contractors.
• Resolve complex repair issues and customer concerns.
• Undertake Damp and Mould inspections and advise residents.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Support delivery of works programmes within budgets and timescales.
• Identify cost-effective repair solutions for value for money.
• Inspect high-cost void properties and major repairs.
• Support resident engagement and safeguarding requirements.
• Provide performance information and recommendations.
