Staffline is recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a days Mon-Fri, temporary contract in the Doncaster area. You will join an established FMCG site, performing planned, preventive and breakdown maintenance to keep production running and minimize downtime.

You will work with conveyors and packaging equipment, lead mechanical repairs, and use CMMS to track work orders while driving improvements and overhauls across the site.

Qualificações

• Experience with routine preventive maintenance and understanding of PPM schedules.
• Strong fault finding and quick repair skills.
• Basic welding and fabrication skills are advantageous.
• Proactive approach to fault finding and continuous development.

Responsabilidades

• Provide effective planned, preventive and breakdown maintenance to minimise losses to production.
• Ensure continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through fault-finding and maintenance of equipment.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to keep downtime to a minimum.
• Work with conveyor systems, hoppers, solos, conveyors and materials handling.
• Lead mechanical repair and work with a CMMS.
• Diagnose, resolve and eliminate root causes of faults.
• Implement minor equipment modifications to boost performance.
• Complete scheduled, corrective and improvement maintenance as allocated.
• Assist in planning and implementing annual equipment overhauls.

Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Days Monday to Friday - temporary contract

Location: Doncaster area, good A1 AND M18 access

Do you want to come off shifts involving 12 hours? Work a Monday to Friday pattern?

This is an 8-hour rotating pattern offering weekend overtime.

Contract Type: Ongoing weekly temporary contract

Industry: Consumer FMCG Manufacturer, family-owned company

Our client has a global presence with strong brand loyalty, a large multi-site manufacturer. This is an established site.

Key Responsibilities – Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - days monday to friday temporary

• Your new challenge will be providing effective and efficient planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance to minimise losses to production


• Ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault-finding and maintenance of process and packaging equipment


• Planned and reactive maintenance to keep downtime to a minimum


• You’ll work with conveyor systems, hoppers, solos, conveyors and materials handling


• Leading mechanical repair and working with a CMMS


• Diagnosis, resolution, and elimination of root causes


• Implementation of minor equipment modifications in support of increased performance


• Completion of all scheduled, planned corrective, reactive and improvement maintenance as allocated


• Contribute to the planning and implementation of allocated annual equipment overhauls

Qualifications & Requirements – Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Days monday to friday

• Apprentice trained or NVQ level 3 in a mechanical engineering discipline in maintenance en temporary gineering


• Manufacturing Industry experience, heavy, medium or FMCG environments considered


• Routine Preventive Maintenance, so as to have an understanding of a PPM schedule


• Finding and fixing faults quickly and effectively


• Basic welding and fabrication skills advantageous


• A proactive approach to fault finding, a commitment to continuous improvement and personal development
