Job summary

Serco Group Plc is seeking a Contract Manager to lead the delivery of environmental services across Charnwood. You will drive operational performance, lead large teams and manage budgets, ensuring safe, efficient and contract-compliant service delivery.

You will build strong stakeholder relationships with local authorities and partners, champion continuous improvement, and shape strategic development to meet future challenges while promoting a positive safety culture.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading large operational teams within a complex service delivery or contract management environment.
  • Strong financial management skills, with experience managing budgets and delivering performance targets.
  • A management qualification, degree or equivalent leadership experience.

Job description

As a Contract Manager in our Environmental Services team, you'll lead the delivery of essential waste, recycling and street cleansing services across Charnwood. You'll be responsible for operational performance, people leadership, financial accountability and continuous improvement, helping to ensure vital community services delivered safely, efficiently and effectively.

What you'll do as a Contract Manager
  • Lead and manage the overall performance of the environmental services contract, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with contractual requirements.

  • Proven ability to build productive customer and stakeholder relationships and inspire trust through effective leadership.
  • Experience leading change, continuous improvement and transformational programmes.
  • A management qualification, degree or equivalent leadership experience.

Vetting and checks

A Standard DBS check will be carried out for this position. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands, and warnings as permitted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act.
