Overview

GXO is currently seeking a driven and talented individual for the role of Contract Manager to join our Nestle contract, based at our flagship site at East Midlands Gateway. In this role, you\'ll partner closely with key existing customers by developing and overseeing comprehensive account plans that ensure exceptional service and cost optimisation.

Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for the overall operational and financial performance of the operation, leading from the front and getting under the skin of what keeps the site moving on a day-to-day basis
  • Support the development of the growth strategy and evolution of the site, through ongoing continuous improvement and other strategic projects
  • Play a key part in driving communication and engagement with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels, both onsite and throughout the wider GXO network, developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, ensuring the long-term success of the contract
  • Develop your direct reports through leadership, objective setting, regular reviews and up-to-date PDRs to facilitate succession planning
  • A proven track record effectively leading a large (250+ colleagues) fast-moving logistics operation, working with a high profile customer
  • Strong experience of continuous improvement - you\'ll be the type that never wants to stand still and aims for excellence
  • Fantastic leadership skills with a real focus on developing and engaging your people and driving succession from the bottom up
  • Experience of building strong working relationships with both internal and external customers and colleagues, you\'ll be an effective influencer and communicator

Role details

This is a full-time, permanent role, working Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:00. You will need to be flexible on occasion. The salary is up to £60,000 per annum, depending upon experience. Benefits include 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays) with the option to buy additional days, a company car or car allowance of £450 per calendar month, a company-sponsored pension scheme, private medical and dental insurance, a 24/7 online GP service, life assurance and an employee assistance programme.
