A recruitment agency is seeking a Contract Assistant Project Manager in Birmingham for a hybrid role. You will support the delivery of numerous minor works projects and ensure they meet quality standards. Ideal candidates have project support experience, strong organisational skills, and proficiency in MS Office. The role is office-based three days a week, so local residency is required.
As part of our Public Sector resourcing partnership, we are working with a transportation client looking to recruit a Contract Assistant Project Manager. This role will support the delivery of 40–50 minor works projects per year, each valued between £50k–£300k. Projects follow a structured assurance process, with a strong emphasis on delivering safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to passengers and freight.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting project setup, documentation, stakeholder coordination, and reporting, ensuring projects are delivered to agreed time, cost, and quality standards.
It is important that the successful candidate lives locally/within commuting distance to central Birmingham, as the role will require 3 days per week on site. BPSS Clearance is required.
