Job summary

Sungrow Europe is seeking a Legal Contracts Specialist to oversee commercial contracts for UK and EMEA projects. You will negotiate, draft, and qualify various agreements, including NDAs and terms, while identifying risks and obtaining necessary approvals.

The role requires a law degree and 3–5 years’ experience in PV, energy storage, or construction. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Degree in Law or relevant business qualification.
• 3–5 years of experience in PV, Energy Storage, or Construction.
• Strong commercial focus with knowledge of contract law.
• Experience in a Contracts or Legal department.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with non-legal audiences.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate, draft, and oversee commercial contracts for Sungrow’s projects in UK and other EMEA regions.
• Support contract activities for the PV and ESS Business Units, including framework agreements and sales contracts.
• Review, draft, and qualify documents such as General Terms & Conditions and NDAs.
• Identify contractual risks and deviations, securing approvals for major issues.
• Prepare and negotiate contractual qualifications with new and existing clients.
• Create contract and risk summaries to inform project personnel of obligations.
• Negotiate to resolve contractual and financial disputes on active projects, advising commercial managers.
• Ensure adherence to Sungrow’s Business Management System policies, processes, and procedures.

• Negotiate, draft, and oversee commercial contracts for Sungrow’s projects in UK and other EMEA regions.
• Support contract activities for the PV and ESS Business Units, including framework agreements and sales contracts.
• Review, draft, and qualify various contractual documents such as General Terms & Conditions and non-disclosure agreements.
• Identify contractual risks and deviations from Sungrow’s principles, securing necessary approvals for major issues.
• Prepare and negotiate contractual qualifications with both new and existing clients.
• Create comprehensive contract and risk summaries to inform project personnel of obligations and objectives.
• Negotiate to resolve contractual and financial disputes on active projects, advising commercial managers.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant policies, processes, and procedures within Sungrow’s Business Management System.

Your profile

• Degree in Law or a relevant Business-related qualification.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in the PV, Energy Storage, or Construction industry.
• Strong commercial focus with a sound knowledge of contract law and proven drafting ability.
• Demonstrated experience working within a Contracts or Legal department.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build relationships and explain legal concepts to a non-legal audience.
• Pro-active approach to problem-solving, capable of constructive challenge and negotiation with stakeholders at all levels.
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills, accustomed to report writing and presenting.
• English C1; Chinese language skills are an advantage.
