Job summary

Sungrow UK is seeking an ESS Project Manager to strengthen planning, governance and delivery of the Energy Storage Systems portfolio across the UK.

You will establish PMO standards, coordinate plans and milestones, and deliver accurate portfolio reporting to enable data-driven decisions. You will work with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners to drive continuous improvement and delivery excellence.

Qualifications

• PMO, project controls, contract management, document control, or portfolio management in energy or engineering contexts.
• Strong governance, scheduling, reporting, risk management, change control, and budget tracking.
• Excellent communication with diverse stakeholders and ability to translate data into action.
• English C1; additional European languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain PMO standards, processes, templates, and governance for the UK ESS portfolio.
• Coordinate project plans, milestones, resources, risks, and dependencies across multiple ESS projects.
• Deliver portfolio reporting and executive dashboards to enable data-driven decisions.
• Partner with sales, legal, engineering, procurement, service, finance, and external stakeholders to align delivery.
• Identify delivery risks and improvement opportunities and ensure actions are owned.
• Drive continuous improvement in project controls, reporting quality, lessons learned, and efficiency.

• Experience in PMO, project controls, contract management, document control, portfolio management, or project management within energy, engineering, construction, infrastructure, or a comparable technical environment.
• Strong understanding of project governance, scheduling, reporting, risk management, change control, and budget tracking.
• Confidence working with diverse stakeholders and bringing structure to fast‑moving, cross‑functional project environments.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Power BI, CRM systems, and project management or reporting tools.
• Clear and practical communication skills, with the ability to translate project data into meaningful actions for varied audiences.
• A customer‑focused and collaborative approach to resolving complex delivery and commercial challenges.
• English C1; additional European languages are a plus.
