Job summary

Great Bear, part of the Culina Group, is hiring a Continuous Improvement Engineer for the Deeside site on a full-time permanent basis. The role focuses on driving CI across safety, service, cost and quality while working with site teams to implement impactful improvements.

You will analyze process performance, develop future flows, and support layouts, processes, technology and equipment. A strong CI background and data analytics skills are essential.

Qualifications

• LEAN and SIX SIGMA practitioner desirable.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Change management ability.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Advanced knowledge in data extraction and analytics using Excel and other Microsoft software and databases to analyse large data sets.
• WMS (warehouse management system) knowledge of system algorithms and their functionality.
• PC literate in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook, Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Drive the continuous improvement (CI) strategy on site.
• Lead and implement CI initiatives in conjunction with the site teams.
• Analyse process performance and identify areas of improvement.
• Track and record benefits made.
• Develop presentations to illustrate process improvements, recommendations and benefit results.
• Develop current and future process flows to improve the functional areas.
• Support the business through active participation in the implementation of new layouts, processes, technology and equipment.
• Assist operations with projects as required.
