Job summary

Great Bear seeks a Continuous Improvement Engineer for its Deeside site on a full-time permanent basis. You will drive CI across the contract, identifying improvements in safety, service, cost and quality and lead initiatives with site teams.

Responsibilities include developing process flows, tracking benefits, and supporting operations with layouts, processes, technology and equipment. Strong data analytics and MS Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• LEAN or SIX SIGMA practitioner desirable.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Change management experience.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Advanced data extraction and analytics using Excel and MS tools.
• Experience with WMS and system algorithms.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook and Power BI.

We would like to present you with an exciting opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team at our Deeside site on a full time permanent basis!

As a Continuous Improvement Engineer you will play a vital role in driving the continuous improvement across all areas of the contract. Identifying processes for improvement covering subjects such as safety, service, cost and quality and any other aspects.

Salary: £29,000-£34,000 per annum.

Working hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.

Key Duties of a Continuous Improvement Engineer:

• Drive the continuous improvement (CI) strategy on site.


• Lead and implement CI initiatives in conjunction with the site teams.


• Analyse process performance and identify areas of improvement.


• Track and record benefits made.


• Develop presentations to illustrate process improvements, recommendations and benefit results.


• Develop current and future process flows to improve the functional areas. Support the business through the active participation in the implementation of new layouts, processes, technology and equipment.


• To assist operations with projects as and when required.

Qualifications

• LEAN and SIX SIGMA practitioner desirable.

• Advanced knowledge in data extraction and analytics using excel and other microsoft software and data bases to analyse large data sets.


• WMS (warehouse management system) – knowledge of system algorithms and how they work.


• PC Literate in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access and Outlook, Power Bi.
