G2 Legal Limited is seeking a Contentious Probate Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer to join its Private Client Litigation team in the Northampton/Leicester area. The role offers autonomy over a busy caseload with support from experienced colleagues and a collaborative culture.

You will handle complex disputes, provide strategic advice to clients, and progress your career in a forward-thinking firm that prioritises quality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with litigation experience.
• Experience in contentious probate preferred.
• Strong knowledge of procedural rules and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent client-handling and communication skills.
• Organised, proactive and deadline-driven.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied litigation caseload as a full-time fee earner.
• Conduct pre-claim investigations, legal research and case assessments.
• Advise clients on contentious probate disputes.
• Draft pleadings, statements of case and court documentation.
• Attend court hearings and conferences, with or without counsel.
• Ensure compliance with Civil Procedure Rules and SRA policies.
• Liaise confidently with clients, counsel, courts and third parties.
• Assist with larger or more complex claims within the team.
• Supervise and mentor junior colleagues.

My client is expanding its Private Client Litigation team and is looking for an ambitious Lawyer with an interest or background in Contentious Probate to join its well-respected team.

What You'll Be Doing
