Job summary

National Library of Scotland is seeking a Content Designer to join our Digital Experience team on a fixed-term maternity cover (9 months initially). You will develop engaging, accessible, user-centred content across our websites, helping people discover Scotland's collections.

You will collaborate with subject specialists from concept to publication, create collection guides and features, and support ongoing content improvements while balancing multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Significant experience creating high-quality digital content.
• Ability to turn complex information into clear, accessible web content.
• Experience with content management systems and publishing tools.
• Strong focus on user-centred content design.

Responsibilities

• Develop collection guides, introductions and features to open up Scotland's knowledge and culture.
