Job summary

Experis is seeking a Content Designer for a 3 month contract in the UK. Hybrid work: Telford/Worthing, 2 days onsite per week. Rate up to 506 p/d Umbrella inside IR35.

The role centers on collaborating with UX/UI Designers and Researchers to craft clear, accessible content for transactional services, leading content design, and aligning messages with product and service goals.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience writing for the web with accessible, usable content.
• User-centred design experience with metrics/user feedback to refine content.
• Experience choosing display formats for information and knowledge of client business.
• Proven experience in web/digital environments.
• Experience with content management/publishing systems; proficient in Markdown.
• Ideally knowledge of CESA.

Job description

Role Title: Content Designer

Duration: 3 month contract

Location: Telford/Worthing. Hybrid, 2 days per week onsite

Rate: up to 506 p/d Umbrella inside IR35

We are looking for:

• Collaborates primarily with UX/UI Designers and User Researchers to design written content for transactional services.
• Reports to Scrum Master, Product Lead and Digital Service Manager.
• Writes high quality content for the client's new digital services that will encourage people to use them.
• Also collaborates with the Product Manager, Digital Service Manager, Business Analysts and User Researchers to define the messages that the new services should convey.
• Will make complex language and processes and make them simple to understand.
• Develop content in such a way that it will encourage people who rarely go online to use it.
• Will build relationships and work effectively within an agile delivery model with colleagues and external providers, for example user researchers and business analysts.
• Will communicate credibly with a wide range of digital delivery disciplines and talent both internally and externally.
• Leads on all aspects of Content Design.

Tasks include:

• Research of subject.
• Discussion with stakeholders and experts.
• Initial drafts of content to fit with UX design.
• Collaborating with user-researchers to test customer understanding.
• Iterating content.

Experience/skill sets include:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience of writing for the web, with proven ability of creating content that is accessible and usable.
• Experience of user-centred design. Proven experience in using metrics and user feedback to define/refine content.
• Experience in choosing the best format for displaying information to the user Knowledge of the client business.
• Proven experience of working within a web, online and digital environment.
• Experience in working with content management and publishing systems.Proficient in writing Markdown.
• Ideally have knowledge of CESA.
