Job summary

A leading health organization is seeking a full-time Consultant in Sedation and Special Care Dentistry to work across the University Dental Hospital and University Hospital Llandough. The role involves collaboration with Cardiff University, supporting educational initiatives, and ensuring high-quality patient care in sedation and special care dentistry. The ideal candidate should be on the General Dental Council Specialist List or within 6 months of specialty training completion.

Qualifications

• Registration on Specialist Register for Special Care Dentistry or eligibility within six months of interview.
• Evidence of training/qualification in dental education.
• Demonstrable leadership in conscious sedation and/or special care dentistry.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to collaboration with Cardiff University for education in Sedation and Special Care Dentistry.
• Support the development of networks at the interface of medicine and dentistry.
• Participate in clinical audit to improve practice.
