Job summary

Marshalls Cross Medical Centre, part of Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, is seeking motivated Salaried GPs (Consultants in Primary Care) to join the dynamic team. You will care for a diverse patient list and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across a teaching hospital network.

The role offers opportunities for clinical governance, on-call duties, and involvement in education and supervision of trainees, within a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be eligible for GMC registration with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
• Must be on the GP Register or eligible for inclusion at the time of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Provide a full range of general medical services to registered patients including face-to-face, telephone and remote consultations, home visits where appropriate.
• Manage acute and long-term conditions, prescribe where needed, order investigations and refer as required.
• Review clinical correspondence, test results and prescribing tasks promptly.
• Contribute to on-call/duty doctor rota, approximately 1 day per week pro rata.
• Support education and supervision of FY2 and GP trainees as part of the wider workforce.
