Job summary

St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in the UK is seeking a GP to provide a full range of medical services for registered patients. You will conduct face-to-face, telephone and remote consultations, assess and manage acute and long-term conditions, and participate in an on-call rota.

You will also supervise FY2 and GP trainees, contribute to clinical governance and quality initiatives, and work within a multidisciplinary team while adhering to safeguarding and GMC requirements.

Qualifications

• Provide full range of general medical services to registered patients.
• Assess, diagnose and manage acute and long-term conditions, including prescribing.
• Participate in on-call rota; approx 1 day per week pro rata.
• Support education and clinical supervision of FY2 and GP trainees.
• Contribute to clinical governance and quality improvement.
• Adhere to infection control, information governance and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face, telephone and remote consultations to patients.
• Review clinical correspondence, test results and prescribing tasks in a timely manner.
• Work with multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
• Take part in service improvement initiatives to boost productivity, access and patient experience.
• Fulfil safeguarding responsibilities for children and adults at risk.
• Comply with appraisal, job planning and GMC revalidation requirements.
