Job summary

Heart of Worcestershire College in Malvern is seeking a Construction Technician to join the Construction department and support in workshop operations and learning activities.

You will contribute to health and safety, assist demonstrations, and help prepare practical sessions across multiple campuses as required.

Qualifications

• To become a Technician in our Construction department, we need someone who is organised, self-motivated and enthusiastic.
• The successful candidate will have the chance to acquire new skills and develop their abilities in a wide range of activities.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day operation of construction/building services workshops.
• Maintain and clean workshop equipment and facilities.
• Ensure health, safety, and compliance procedures are followed.
• Assist teaching staff with practical demonstrations and learning activities.
• Supervise and deliver pre-planned practical sessions when required.
• Set up, dismantle, and manage workshop equipment.
• Order materials and maintain stock levels.
• Complete risk assessments and COSHH documentation.
• Support open days, events, and learner activities.
• Open, secure, and oversee workshop premises as required.
