Job summary

Provit Recruitment is seeking a Construction Teacher to join an alternative provision in Coventry. You will deliver tailored Construction lessons to small groups and 1:1 learners, planning activities that drive progress and personal development.

Working with support staff and external agencies, you will monitor progress, safeguard learners and contribute to curriculum delivery. QTS/QTLS or equivalent is essential, with experience in similar settings.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher status or equivalent (QTS/QTLS).
• Experience planning and delivering Construction lessons.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management.
• Ability to build relationships with learners and break down barriers.
• Strong safeguarding and child protection knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Deliver differentiated Construction lessons in small groups and 1:1 settings.
• Plan engaging and purposeful learning activities.
• Track learner progress and complete assessments/reporting.
• Support behaviour, engagement and emotional regulation.
• Build positive relationships with learners, families and external agencies.
• Collaborate with Teaching Assistants and support teams.
• Contribute to curriculum development and resource creation.
• Maintain safeguarding and compliance standards.
