Job summary

Provit Recruitment is seeking a Construction Teacher for an Alternative Provision setting in Coventry. This is a full-time, 3-month contract; the role involves delivering tailored Construction lessons in small groups and 1:1 settings to support young people with barriers to mainstream education.

You will plan engaging activities, track progress, and collaborate with support staff to ensure safeguarding and progress reporting.

Qualifications

• Essential: QTS, QTLS, or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience planning and delivering Construction lessons.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to relate to learners and break down barriers.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.

Responsibilities

• Deliver differentiated Construction lessons in small groups and 1:1 settings.
• Plan engaging and purposeful learning activities.
• Track learner progress and complete assessments and reporting.
• Support behaviour, engagement, and emotional regulation.
• Build positive relationships with learners, families and external agencies.
• Collaborate with Teaching Assistants and support teams.
• Contribute to curriculum development and resource creation.
• Maintain safeguarding and compliance standards.
