Lindum Group is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee construction sites around Peterborough, within approximately 50 miles. The role involves coordinating direct staff and contractors, planning activities, and ensuring projects run on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, a mix of housing, commercial and industrial project experience, and in-date SMSTS/First Aid qualifications.

Qualifications

• Previous site management experience essential; ideally a mix of housing, commercial and industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes and commercial awareness.
• Academic qualification in construction would be an advantage (HNC/HND/Degree).
• In-date qualifications and training such as SMSTS, First Aid, CSCS card, asbestos awareness, working at height, scaffold inspection are preferred.
• Full driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct site staff and contractors.
• Plan and programme all site activities and coordinate labour.
• Work with Contracts/Project Manager to ensure progress and cost control.
• Promptly deal with issues and plan corrective actions.
• Provide regular updates, lead progress meetings and subcontractor meetings.
• Maintain high safety standards with the Health, Safety and Environmental Team.
