Job summary

Gap Technical Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Manager for residential developments near Peterborough. You will oversee day-to-day delivery, coordinate subcontractors and trades, and ensure works meet drawings, specifications and quality standards.

Key responsibilities include managing schedules, maintaining health & safety on site, supervising subcontractors, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. A strong Housing/building process knowledge and SMSTS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous Site Management experience within residential construction.
• Strong knowledge of the housebuilding process from groundworks through to completion.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• A strong understanding of health & safety requirements.
• The ability to manage subcontractors and multiple trades effectively.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• SMSTS qualification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Managing daily site operations from start to completion.
• Coordinating and supervising subcontractors and trades.
• Ensuring work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with drawings and specifications.
• Managing programme and build schedules.
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety across site.
• Carrying out regular quality inspections.
• Coordinating materials, deliveries and labour.
• Liaising with the Contracts Manager, Quantity Surveyor and wider project team.
• Managing snagging and ensuring homes are completed to the required standard.
• Maintaining site records and completing relevant documentation.
• Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
