Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd is seeking a Project Manager for its Construction Consultancy practice in the North East. You will manage construction projects from inception to completion, coordinating clients, consultants and contractors across a diverse portfolio for public and private sector clients.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in construction-related discipline.
• Professional membership or progression towards MRICS, MCIOB, MAPM or equivalent.
• Proven experience delivering construction projects within a consultancy or client-side environment.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.
• Good commercial awareness and understanding of project governance.
• Experience with NEC and/or JCT contracts and UK procurement routes.
• Knowledge of UK construction Health & Safety and environmental requirements.
• Experience within local or central government projects would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong professional relationships.
• A proactive, collaborative approach and genuine commitment to continued professional development.
• A valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction projects from inception through to completion.
• Act as a key client interface and develop strong, long-term client relationships.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams and coordinate project stakeholders.
• Manage project budgets, accounts, resources and commercial performance.
• Provide effective project governance, reporting and risk management.
• Advise clients on procurement strategies and contract administration.
• Manage projects in accordance with recognised project management methodologies.
• Support and mentor junior team members.
• Contribute to business development, fee proposals and tender submissions.
• Identify opportunities for repeat business and develop existing client relationships.
• Support senior colleagues on larger and more complex projects.
