Job summary

VINCI Building is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our North East Business Unit. You will oversee on-site operations, manage project teams and sub-contractors to deliver projects safely, on time and within financial targets.

Responsibilities include planning, coordinating site activities, ensuring safety and quality, and maintaining clear communication with clients and stakeholders. This role focuses on healthcare, high-rise residential, and other complex schemes.

Qualifications

• Experienced Construction Manager with a proven track record working for a UK Main Contractor.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise, control and coordinate the site to a satisfactory and safe completion.
• Ensure works are coordinated for safe access and segregation.
• Ensure that risk assessments and method statements are issued and communicated by the sub-contractor and monitored.
• Develops day-to-day plan for site operations from project programme.
• Effectively manages site reporting (record sheets, site instructions, daily diary).
• Sets up teams to complete sections of work.
• Develop individuals through coaching and training.
• Dissemination of information to relevant parties.
• Procure materials, plant and sub-contractors to meet targets.
• Control costs and ensure works are instructed under site instructions with robust change control.
• Drive delivery of quality, stop sub-standard work, and engage specialist support as needed.
• Puts safety first and maintains welfare and safety documentation.
