Job summary

SGN in Poole/Portsmouth is seeking a Construction Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role is office-based with a full-time schedule, supporting pipeline maintenance and safety-critical engineering work.

You will lead engineering teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and participate in standby rota. A relevant engineering qualification and IOSH Managing Safely are essential. SGN values diversity and offers accommodations where needed.

What you will need

Essential Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an engineering discipline
• IOSH Managing Safely certification
• Full UK driving licence

Preferred Qualifications

• Progress towards a professional engineering qualification

Essential Experience and Skills

• Proven track record managing engineering teams in safety-critical environments
• In-depth knowledge of pipeline maintenance systems and regulatory compliance
• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities
• Please be aware this role requires you to participate in a standby rota.
