Job summary

Mining Remediation Authority seeks a Construction Health, Safety, Wellbeing and Environment Adviser for its Metal Mines programmes. The role offers autonomy while aligning with a central team and requires regular site visits to sites across Wales and England.

You’ll support pollution remediation and environmental improvement projects, providing practical advice through the project lifecycle and ensuring high risk standards are maintained.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent and hands-on construction experience.
• Knowledge of CDM 2015 and design-risk principles.
• Ability to influence decisions and challenge contractors constructively.
• Sound judgement and independence with team support when needed.

Responsibilities

• Support the Mining Remediation Authority and clients to meet CDM 2015 duties, including Principal Designer role.
• Provide practical advice at design reviews, pre-start and progress meetings.
• Review project plans, risk controls, and carry out site visits, inspections and audits.
• Challenge standards where needed and work with teams to remediate issues.
• Support incident investigations and complete RIDDOR reports where required.
• Apply learnings to improve HSW policies and practice.
