Job summary

Mining Remediation Authority is seeking a Construction Health, Safety, Wellbeing and Environment Adviser for its Metal Mines programmes. You will travel to sites across Wales and England, providing practical safety leadership and environmental remediation expertise.

Your role integrates safety with wellbeing and sustainable practices, supported by a central team. You will shape risk controls, review designs, and guide contractors to meet high standards throughout project lifecycles, with regular

Qualifications

NEBOSH General Certificate and hands-on construction experience.
Ability to apply CDM 2015 and design-risk principles with confidence.
Ability to build trust, influence decisions and challenge contractors constructively.
Sound judgement and independent working with proactive problem-solving.

Responsibilities

Support the Mining Remediation Authority and its clients to meet duties under CDM 2015, including Principal Designer responsibilities.
Provide practical safety advice at design reviews, pre-start and progress meetings.
Review project plans and risk controls; carry out site visits, inspections and audits.
Challenge standards constructively and collaborate with teams to implement improvements.
Support incident investigations and complete RIDDOR reports when required.
Use learnings from projects and incidents to improve HSW policies and practices.
