Job summary

Mining Remediation Authority is looking for a Construction Health, Safety, Wellbeing and Environment Adviser to support metal mines projects across Wales and England. The role features hybrid working with regular site visits, and oversight from an experienced central team.

You will lead practical HSW guidance, ensure compliance, and embed wellbeing into safety culture across complex remediation projects.

Qualifications

• You’ll apply CDM 2015 and design-risk principles with confidence.
• You’ll influence contractors and project teams constructively.
• You’ll act with sound judgement and autonomy.
• You’ll keep wellbeing at the heart of safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Support Mining Remediation Authority and clients to meet CDM 2015 duties, including Principal Designer.
• Provide practical advice at design reviews, pre-start and progress meetings.
• Review project plans and risk controls, and carry out site visits, inspections and audits.
• Challenge where standards fall short and drive corrective actions.
• Support incident investigations and complete RIDDOR reports when needed.
• Use learnings to improve HSW policies and practice.
