Job summary

Mining Remediation Authority is seeking an Operations Manager for metal mine water treatment schemes in England and Wales. You will lead operational delivery, safety, and environmental performance while engaging stakeholders across regulators, contractors and communities.

You will manage budgets, contracts and risk, and contribute to scheme improvements and future project design. The role supports a flexible, hybrid working arrangement from home with UK-wide responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience leading operation and maintenance of mine water treatment schemes.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, contracts and operational risk.
• Strong relationships with regulators and partners (Environment Agency, Defra, NRW).

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe, compliant operation of mine water treatment schemes.
• Collaborate with contractors and regulators to deliver improvements.
• Lead service management under NEC4 Term Service Contract.
• Support development of future schemes and design improvements.
