Job summary

Mining Remediation Authority is seeking an experienced Environmental Advisor to join the senior advisory team. You will provide trusted environmental guidance across projects funded by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, influencing decisions from conception through delivery across England, Scotland and Wales.

You will travel across Great Britain to oversee environmental controls, shape surveys and consenting strategies, and ensure practical, risk-based recommendations are

Qualifications

• Experience advising live, multidisciplinary projects.
• Applied knowledge of environmental assessment, planning, consent or permitting.
• Experience engaging regulators and stakeholders.
• Ability to interpret evidence and make practical, risk-based recommendations.
• Relevant degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify environmental risks and opportunities across project lifecycles.
• Shape environmental surveys, assessments and consenting strategies.
• Advise on planning, permitting and regulatory requirements.
• Review and assure work by consultants and contractors.
• Engage regulators and environmental stakeholders.
• Embed sustainability and nature recovery into delivery.
• Visit sites to understand challenges and implement practical solutions.
