Job summary

McLaughlin & Harvey is seeking an Engineer to support high-value construction projects across health, education and commercial sectors. The role involves ensuring compliance with SHEQ policies, coordinating subcontractors, and producing RAMS and ITP documentation.

You will oversee setting out, progress reporting, and collaboration with project teams to deliver quality work on programme. A degree or equivalent, SMSTS, and a valid driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• Degree, HND or equivalent required.
• Strong previous experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrable experience in setting out large scale contracts.
• Valid driving licence.
• SMSTS training.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise site activities in line with SHEQ policies and procedures.
• Induct and manage personnel and sub-contractors with RAMS in place.
• Coordinate sub-contractors and packages and monitor progress.
• Ensure works comply with drawings and specifications and maintain up-to-date records.
• Produce RAMS for labour and other elements of the works.
• Maintain inspection records, permits to work, and ITP documentation.
• Communicate programme risks and manage site resources to meet the programme.
