Job summary

McLaughlin & Harvey is seeking a Site Manager to join our team and lead high‑value projects with a focus on safe delivery, quality, and timely completion. The role requires proven experience delivering medium to large scale schemes on time and within budget, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors.

You will manage safe, efficient site operations, liaise with clients and design teams, and drive adherence to programme and budget.

Qualifications

• CSCS/CSR card required.
• First Aid at Work certification required.
• Relevant construction experience in commercial, retail, healthcare, education, refurbishment and/or new build.
• Experience of managing and controlling subcontractors in line with project programme, safety and environmental legislation.
• Experience of temporary works procedures.
• Ability to operate within a team environment.
• Ability to produce short term programmes.

Responsibilities

• Issue permits for various work activities, and close out accordingly.
• Liaise with the project manager and quantity surveyor on works and orders.
• Manage provisions/diversion/upgrade/protection works; coordinate with utility companies.
• Submit applications to the Highways Authority for road openings and welfare facilities.
• Coordinate temporary works where applicable and ensure safety documentation for subcontractors.
