Job summary

Clancy is seeking a proactive Consents Advisor in Stirling to support the management of consents and stakeholder engagement for major energy infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Consents Manager, you will help ensure regulatory approvals are obtained on time and maintain clear communication with stakeholders throughout the lifecycle.

You will build relationships with local authorities, environmental bodies and communities, coordinate with project teams, and contribute to improving consent

Qualifications

• Proven experience (3–5 years) in consents management, environmental permitting, or regulatory compliance within construction or infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of planning regulations, environmental legislation or land rights relevant to construction projects.
• Project management skills with ability to prioritise tasks and coordinate across multiple projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with consents management software or databases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to tailor messages to different audiences.
• Proactive problem-solver who can anticipate issues and minimize delays.
• Ability to work flexibly in a hybrid environment, with willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the consents and approvals process for infrastructure projects, ensuring permissions and licences are obtained within deadlines.
• Stay up to date with planning regulations and environmental legislation to ensure compliance throughout the lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities, communities, landowners and environmental agencies.
• Maintain accurate records of consent applications, stakeholder interactions and engagement activities; prepare reports.
• Identify risks and help develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
• Coordinate with project managers and engineers to incorporate feedback into timelines.
• Suggest process improvements to streamline consents and engagement workflows.
• Provide administrative and strategic support to the Consents Manager and team.
