Job summary

Dalcour Maclaren is seeking a Senior Consents Officer in the UK to obtain specialist consents and provide technical and legal advice across infrastructure projects. You will manage communications with landowners, contractors and clients, draft consent orders, and coordinate access to land, driving efficiencies through innovation and collaboration.

The role requires strong knowledge of agriculture and rural affairs, excellent customer service, and leadership to guide a team of consenting officers

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Strong knowledge of agriculture and rural affairs is essential.
• Excellent customer service is expected and demonstrated in client-facing work.
• Commercially focused mindset with openness to using innovation/technology for efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Obtain relevant specialist technical consents and provide technical advice to clients.
• Provide professional advice on law and statute within project context.
• Manage communications with clients, landowners, farmers and other stakeholders.
• Draft and issue consent orders and advise on technical details of the consent.
• Manage the consenting process and coordinate access to private land.
• Lead and mentor consenting officers and ensure project KPI delivery.
• Maintain records, provide client updates, and ensure accurate billing.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, contractual and organisational requirements.
