Job summary

AJ FOX COMPLIANCE, a commercial law firm client, seeks a Conflicts Analyst to work with lawyers and partners to analyse complex conflicts and support internal processes. You will conduct conflicts checks, partner with fee earners to deliver pragmatic risk solutions, and help refine conflicts search software and compliance workflows.

Mentoring juniors and advising on regulatory requirements are also part of the role.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing conflicts within a commercial law firm environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Commercial awareness and judgement for balancing risk with client service.
• Confidence to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Prior exposure to specialised compliance technology is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough analysis of conflicts checks to identify legal, regulatory, or commercial issues for new and existing matters.
• Partner with fee earners and partners to deliver pragmatic risk-based solutions.
• Assist with refining and evolving internal conflicts search software, workflows and risk systems.
• Advise internal stakeholders on regulatory compliance requirements and risk policies.
• Mentor junior team members and act as central point of contact for compliance enquiries.
• Contribute to group risk initiatives and support information barriers where required.

The responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the continuous refinement and evolution of internal conflicts search software, workflows, and risk management systems.
• Advising internal stakeholders on regulatory compliance requirements and internal risk policies.
• Mentoring junior team members, sharing technical know-how, and acting as a central point of contact for compliance enquiries.
• Contributing to group risk initiatives and supporting the maintenance of information barriers where required.
