Job summary

Rullion is recruiting an experienced Configuration Engineer for a major engineering programme based in Bridgwater, Somerset. The role focuses on controlling design configuration across the project lifecycle and ensuring compliance, quality, and configuration integrity.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering or Science (or equivalent), experience in regulated environments, and strong organisational and communication skills to coordinate diverse engineering teams.

• Experience supporting engineering projects within highly regulated industries.
• Knowledge of engineering processes and configuration management principles.
• Excellent organisational, coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to analyse technical information and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of configuration management processes across a large engineering programme.
• Act as a key technical point of contact for engineering teams on configuration management matters.
• Coordinate stakeholders to progress design changes, interfaces, open points and configuration activities.
• Monitor and steer end-to-end configuration management processes.
• Support design handovers while maintaining robust configuration control.
• Develop and maintain data-driven approaches to managing engineering configuration.
• Analyse technical documentation and identify opportunities to improve processes and systems.
• Build strong working relationships across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
