Job summary

Configuration Control Engineer role in a submarine division, Barrow area with hybrid onsite work. Responsible for establishing and maintaining configuration baselines, managing design changes, and ensuring control of products and documentation throughout the lifecycle.

The position involves working with engineering and project management teams to support governance, reporting, and the delivery of critical programmes. 12-month contract, hybrid arrangement, and security clearances apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in configuration management within an engineering environment.
• Good understanding of the engineering lifecycle.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of product structures such as WBS, PBS, and BOM is desirable.
• Engineering degree (or equivalent).

Principal Engineer - Support Engineering (Configuration Control)

We're looking for a Configuration Control Engineer to support complex engineering programmes within the submarine division.

Working closely with Engineering and Project Management teams, you'll be responsible for establishing and maintaining configuration baselines, managing design changes, and ensuring products and documentation are controlled throughout the engineering lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain configuration management plans and baselines.
• Monitor configuration status and support change control activities.
• Work with internal teams and suppliers to ensure configuration requirements are met.
• Support governance, reporting, and audit activities.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of engineering programmes.
