Job summary

Rullion Engineering Cumbria is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the engineering function across major infrastructure projects in a collaborative setting. You will drive engineering excellence from bid to project completion, ensuring compliance with client, regulatory and business requirements.

You will provide technical leadership, governance, and assurance across design, construction, commissioning and handover while managing design teams and supporting bids with engineering

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline relevant to infrastructure or construction.
• Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status or working towards professional registration desirable.
• Minimum three years' experience in a similar Engineering Manager role within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor or comparable organisation.
• Strong understanding of engineering design, construction, and project delivery within complex infrastructure environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering function across multiple projects, ensuring governance and processes are consistently implemented.
• Provide engineering assurance throughout design, construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Provide technical leadership and advice to project teams, clients and stakeholders.
• Support bids, tenders and technical submissions with engineering input during work-winning activities.
• Line manage Design Managers and engineering teams, supporting development and succession planning.
