Job summary

BMS Performance Ltd. is seeking a proactive Conference Producer to research, write and deliver around six two-day business conferences a year. You will build agendas by consulting industry players, secure speakers and a chair, and coordinate with sponsorship teams.

International travel and tight production schedules are part of the role. You should be skilled at absorbing complex industry information, communicating with senior officials, and juggling multiple events while maintaining a high

Qualifications

• Experience producing B2B conferences or closely related events.
• Strong ability to build agendas and absorb complex industry information quickly.
• Tenacious, enthusiastic, and commercially minded.
• Excellent one-to-one communication with senior officials by phone/in person.
• Able to manage multiple conferences simultaneously; strong time management.
• Willing to travel internationally with valid passport.

Responsibilities

• Research, write and produce around six two-day business conferences a year to a high standard and on schedule.
• Build agendas by speaking to industry representatives and reading trade press/market research.
• Invite, secure and confirm speakers and a chair; arrange replacements when needed.
• Collaborate with sponsorship and telesales; pass on leads and suggest sponsors.
• Advise marketing on how to attract delegates and provide production briefs.
• Maintain conference administration, and keep speaker database accurate.
• Attend and network at conferences with speakers and delegates for future ideas.

The business has recently shifted toward fewer, larger and more commercially valuable events, including multi-day flagship formats with international reach.

Role responsibilities

• Research, write and produce around six two-day business conferences a year, to a high standard and within the production schedule
• Build strong agendas by speaking to industry representatives and reading trade press and market research
• Invite, secure and confirm speakers and a chair, and find replacements quickly when programmes change
• Work with sponsorship and telesales, passing on leads and suggesting potential sponsors
• Advise marketing on how best to attract delegates, including a mid-production brief on the event
• Look after conference administration and keep the website and speaker database accurate
• Attend and open conferences and network with speakers and delegates for ideas for future events
