• Advise marketing on how best to attract delegates and plan production briefs.
• Look after conference administration and keep speaker database accurate.
• Attend and network with speakers and delegates for future ideas.

The business has recently shifted toward fewer, larger and more commercially valuable events, including multi-day flagship formats with international reach.

Role responsibilities

• Research, write and produce around six two-day business conferences a year, to a high standard and within the production schedule
• Build strong agendas by speaking to industry representatives and reading trade press and market research
• Invite, secure and confirm speakers and a chair, and find replacements quickly when programmes change
• Work with sponsorship and telesales, passing on leads and suggesting potential sponsors
• Advise marketing on how best to attract delegates, including a mid-production brief on the event
• Look after conference administration and keep the website and speaker database accurate
• Attend and open conferences and network with speakers and delegates for ideas for future events

Candidate background

• Experience producing B2B conferences or in a closely related research-led events role
• Strong at building agendas and absorbing complex industry information quickly
• A tenacious, enthusiastic and can-do approach, with a commercial outlook
• Excellent one to one communication with senior officials and directors, by phone and in person
• Able to manage time well and juggle several conferences at once
• Willing to travel internationally, with a valid passport
