Job summary

Southampton Harbour Hotel & Spa is seeking a proactive Concierge to deliver a personalised, luxury guest experience from arrival to departure. In a waterfront setting, you will welcome VIP guests, assist with luggage, and coordinate reservations and transport with discretion and charm.

You will drive a range of high-performance cars, maintain a pristine forecourt, and communicate with reception and housekeeping to ensure seamless service.

Qualifications

• Full, valid UK driving licence.

s a Concierge at Southampton Harbour Hotel & Spa, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional, personalised guest experience from the moment guests arrive. Working within a luxury waterfront hotel, you will play a key role in creating memorable stays through outstanding service, attention to detail and a genuine passion for hospitality.

This is a hands-on, guest-facing role suited to someone who enjoys meeting new people, takes pride in providing a first-class service and is confident handling a variety of responsibilities, including welcoming VIP guests, assisting with luggage, managing vehicle movements and driving a range of luxury and high-performance sports cars.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a warm, professional and friendly approach, ensuring a smooth and memorable arrival and departure experience.

• Park, retrieve and manoeuvre guest vehicles safely and professionally, including luxury vehicles, sports cars and high-performance models.

• Drive a variety of prestigious sports cars and luxury vehicles with confidence, care and respect for each vehicle.

• Provide an efficient valet parking service, maintaining accurate vehicle key records and ensuring vehicles are securely handled.

• Assist guests with luggage, transportation arrangements, directions and local recommendations.

• Deliver a personalised concierge service, helping guests arrange restaurant reservations, taxis, local attractions and special requests.

• Maintain the hotel entrance, forecourt and vehicle parking areas to an immaculate standard.

• Assist VIP guests and special occasions, ensuring discretion, professionalism and attention to detail at all times.

• Communicate effectively with reception, housekeeping and other hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.

• Handle guest enquiries and requests promptly, always maintaining the high standards expected of a luxury hotel.

Skills and Requirements

• A full, valid UK driving licence with a confident and responsible driving style.
  

• A genuine passion for luxury and performance cars, with the ability to drive vehicles of varying sizes and specifications.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• A professional appearance, positive attitude and approachable manner.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm in a busy, fast-paced environment.

• Trustworthiness and discretion when handling guests’ personal belongings and valuable vehicles.

• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

• Previous experience in a concierge, valet, hotel or luxury hospitality role would be advantageous, although a willingness to learn and a passion for service are equally important.
