GSK is seeking a highly skilled data platform engineer to design, build and operate a hybrid on-prem/cloud compute platform for interactive and scalable computing. You will collaborate with science users, implement CI/CD, and optimize performance across large-scale distributed systems.

You will contribute to a shared data and AI/ML environment, ensure quality, logging, and reproducibility, and advocate best-practice software engineering within a fast-moving R&D context in London.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering.
• Experience with Python.
• Experience with Cloud.
• Experience with High Performance Compute (HPC).
• Experience with CI/CD and modern software development practices.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and CNCF ecosystem.

• Designs, builds, and operates tools, services, workflows to deliver high value for business problems.
• Develops a hybrid on-prem/cloud compute platform for interactive and scalable batch computing.
• Manages code-driven environments and CI/CD driven deployments.
• Advises science users on application scalability for PB-scale data.

• Produces well-engineered software with tests, documentation, and operational strategy.
• Ensures logging and data lineage consistency across platforms.
