Zusammenfassung

GSK seeks a Compute Platform Engineer II to advance a metadata-forward,CI/CD-driven compute platform for hybrid on-prem/cloud environments. You will design, build, and operate tools and workflows that scale from interactive development to large-scale batch processing, ensuring robust performance and observability across HPC resources.

You will mentor teams on best practices, contribute to open-source initiatives, and align with QMS/DevOps standards while delivering reliable software and strong

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Experience with Python and cloud technologies.
• Experience with High Performance Compute (HPC).
• Familiarity with containerisation, CI/CD and software development best practices.

• Designs, builds, and operates tools, services, workflows delivering value to business problems.
• Develops components of a hybrid on-prem/cloud compute platform for interactive and batch computing.
• Manages CI/CD driven deployments and container/image builds.
• Advises science users on scalability with deep software engineering knowledge.
• Optimises designs for large-scale distributed computing environments.
• Produces well-engineered software with tests, docs, and operational strategy.
• Ensures logging and lineage consistency and contributes to code reviews.
• Adheres to CI/CD best practices and guides improvements.
