Job summary
GTS Group Ltd is seeking a Composites Manufacturing Engineer in Gloucestershire to help drive advanced manufacturing of aerospace and defence components. You will develop and optimise composite processes, support quality and design teams, and lead investigations into manufacturing issues.
Experience with autoclave and lamination, along with AS9100 knowledge, is essential. The role offers exposure to next-generation composite technologies, private healthcare, pension, and career progression
Qualifications
- Experience within composites manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of composite materials and manufacturing processes.
- AS9100 or equivalent quality systems knowledge.
- Ability to work cross-functionally within engineering and manufacturing teams.
Responsibilities
- Developing and improving composite manufacturing processes
- Optimising lay-up, cure and trimming operations
- Creating manufacturing documentation, process instructions and routings
- Supporting production, quality and design teams
- Leading investigations into manufacturing and quality issues
- Supporting equipment commissioning and production scale-up
- Driving lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with AS9100 and aerospace quality standards
