Job summary
GTS Group Ltd. is seeking a Composites Manufacturing Engineer to join a growing business in the Swindon area.
The role focuses on advanced composite technologies across aerospace, defence and high‑performance sectors, with exposure to autoclave and lamination processes. You will develop and improve composite manufacturing processes, optimise lay-up and curing operations, and work closely with production, quality and design teams to deliver complex projects.
Qualifications
- Experience within composites manufacturing and lamination/autoclave processes.
- Knowledge of AS9100 or equivalent quality systems.
- Ability to collaborate across engineering and production teams.
Responsibilities
- Developing and improving composite manufacturing processes.
- Optimising lay-up, cure and trimming operations.
- Creating manufacturing documentation, process instructions and routings.
- Supporting production, quality and design teams.
- Leading investigations into manufacturing and quality issues.
- Supporting equipment commissioning and production scale-up.
- Driving lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensuring compliance with AS9100 and aerospace quality standards.
