Job summary

GTS Group Ltd is partnering with an innovative engineering business in the aerospace and advanced manufacturing sector to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer focused on composites. You'll drive process development for lay-up, cure, trimming, and support production teams on complex projects.

You'll bring hands-on experience with autoclave and lamination, knowledge of AS9100 quality standards, and a collaborative, cross-functional mindset to deliver lean improvements and scale-up initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience within composites manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of composite materials and manufacturing processes.
• Autoclave and lamination experience.
• Aerospace, defence, motorsport or advanced engineering background.
• Knowledge of AS9100 or equivalent quality systems.
• Ability to work cross-functionally within engineering and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

• Developing and improving composite manufacturing processes.
• Optimising lay-up, cure and trimming operations.
• Creating manufacturing documentation, process instructions and routings.
• Supporting production, quality and design teams.
• Leading investigations into manufacturing and quality issues.
• Supporting equipment commissioning and production scale-up.
• Driving lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensuring compliance with AS9100 and aerospace quality standards.
