Job summary

HPCAREERS LIMITED's client operates from a state-of-the-art Wirral facility and serves the aerospace sector with UK and global locations.

We seek a Laminating Technician with at least 2 years' experience to read engineering drawings, follow instructions, and document processes while collaborating with manufacturing engineering on standard work and continuous improvement in trimming and assembly.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in laminating across a broad range of products.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Support development of standard work instructions and participate in DFMA workshops.
• Identify and support continuous improvement in trimming and assembly.

Job description

Our client operates from their state-of-the-art facility in the Wirral, but they also have locations all over the UK and worldwide. Specialising in the design and manufacture of components to the aerospace industry.

Desired requirements:

• A minimum 2 years experience in Laminating across a broad range of products, although further training and support will be provided.
• Should be confident reading and understanding engineering drawings.
• Can follow written and verbal instructions.
• Carrying out work in adherence to technical drawings, internal and external specifications, and laminating instructions as appropriate ensuring accuracy and process documentation.
• Working closely with manufacturing engineering to support the development of standard work instructions and taking part in design for manufacture workshops for new product introduction.
• Identifying, defining, and supporting the introduction of continuous improvement activities in the area of trimming and assembly.
• A practical level qualification e.g. an NVQ, Apprenticeship in manufacturing, engineering, or mechanical.
