Job summary

Our client seeks a Composite Laminator at their Wirral, Merseyside facility. You will laminate aerospace components, reading engineering drawings and following written and verbal instructions to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.

The role offers a contract renewed quarterly with a pay rate of £29.00ph. Flexibility for shifts is required, and you will collaborate with manufacturing engineering to develop standard work instructions and support continuous improvement activities across

Qualifications

• A minimum 2 years experience in Laminating across a broad range of products, with training provided.
• Confident reading and understanding engineering drawings.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Adhere to technical drawings, specs, and laminating instructions ensuring accuracy and documentation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineering to develop standard work instructions and participate in DFMEA/ design for manufacture workshops.
• Identify and support continuous improvement in trimming and assembly areas.
• A practical level qualification such as an NVQ or apprenticeship in manufacturing/engineering/mechanical.

Composite Laminator

• Location: Wirral, Merseyside
• Contract - renewed quarterly

Our client operates from their state-of-the-art facility in the Wirral, but they also have locations all over the UK and worldwide. Specialising in the design and manufacture of components to the aerospace industry.

Desired requirements:

• A minimum 2 years experience in Laminating across a broad range of products, although further training and support will be provided.
• Should be confident reading and understanding engineering drawings.
• Can follow written and verbal instructions.
• Carrying out work in adherence to technical drawings, internal and external specifications, and laminating instructions as appropriate ensuring accuracy and process documentation.
• Working closely with manufacturing engineering to support the development of standard work instructions and taking part in design for manufacture workshops for new product introduction.
• Identifying, defining, and supporting the introduction of continuous improvement activities in the area of trimming and assembly.
• A practical level qualification e.g. an NVQ, Apprenticeship in manufacturing, engineering, or mechanical.
